I dont have my car out at school, I need to get cross state for an event. Its $20 cheaper and and 2 hours quicker to where I need to be than the Greyhound. Is there some sort of catch? It seems like there could be...

I travelled from Baltimore to New York City on Megabus. Not a single issue, and no catch.

they are legit. overhead costs are lower for many reasons. greyhound has terminals staffed across the country. mega bus has a pole in the ground in select cities.

you will enjoy it.

They're a legit company - part of the evil Stagecoach Group empire based here in the UK. I don't quite know what they're like int he US, but here they're decent buses and service let down by the scumminess of the passengers.

I've never travelled with Megabus in the US, but for what it's worth all the Greyhound prices I've ever seen have looked total CP by UK/Euro standards. I can well believe someone else is doing much the same thing a hell of a lot cheaper.

My wife and I made the same trip. I say go for it. It's inexpensive and fairly convenient.

My wife and her parents use it frequently. They like it. Safe and clean.

Big benefits to booking early are made up by added costs if you don't. Other than that, it's a bus that will take you where you want to go.

Only in the UK. They're okay here. Very short/no breaks and the toilets are clogged. Otherwise, they're good buses, fairly comfy (I'm 1.79 and a little too wide and I'm comfortable enough for 5-hour journeys) Nothing beats them at price, and you're not giving up too many luxuries.
